Job Locations and Reviews
Today I was assigned to a wood rot repair job on a window trim for a residential home. Upon inspection, I found that the lower sections of the trim were badly deteriorated due to years of water exposure. The rot had spread deeper than expected, making it impossible to simply patch. To solve the issue, I carefully removed all the damaged wood and cut replacement pieces to match the original trim profile. I then treated the surrounding wood with a wood hardener to prevent future decay and installed the new sections using waterproof wood glue and exterior-grade nails. After sealing all joints with caulk, I primed and painted the area to match the rest of the trim. The repair blended in well and restored both the appearance and integrity of the structure.
Today I worked on a garage floor painting project and ran into an issue with the epoxy not adhering properly in certain spots. After inspecting the surface, I realized there were areas with residual oil stains that weren’t fully removed during the initial cleaning. To fix the problem, I stopped the application, thoroughly degreased the floor using a commercial concrete cleaner, and then used a grinder to rough up the surface for better adhesion. Once the floor was fully prepped and dried, I reapplied the epoxy coating, which bonded smoothly. The floor now has a clean, durable finish, and the homeowner was very happy with the result.
Today I completed an interior painting job at a residential home, and during the process, I encountered an issue with uneven wall texture in the living room. The previous paint job had left roller marks and patchy areas that were especially noticeable under natural light. To address the problem, I first sanded down the rough patches and applied a skim coat to even out the surface. After allowing it to dry, I re-primed the area and used a high-quality roller with the proper nap length to ensure a smooth, consistent finish. The end result was a clean, even coat that met the client’s expectations and greatly improved the overall look of the room.
checking in on the interior painting project. While prepping the dining room walls, I noticed some old water stains and bubbling paint near the ceiling. To ensure a clean finish, we’ll scrape the damaged areas, apply a stain-blocking primer, and then repaint. This will help the new paint adhere properly and prevent any stains from bleeding through.
checking in on the wood rot repair project. While inspecting the trim around the windows, I found additional areas of rot that weren’t visible initially, likely from prolonged moisture exposure. To fix this, we’ll remove the damaged wood, treat the surrounding area to prevent further decay, and install new rot-resistant material. This will ensure a solid, long-lasting repair and help protect your home from future issues.
garage floor painting project. While cleaning the surface, I found some oil stains and a few areas where the concrete is chipped. To ensure proper adhesion and a smooth finish, we’ll degrease the floor thoroughly and patch the damaged spots with a concrete repair compound. Once that’s done, we’ll proceed with the epoxy coating as planned.

RandD Painting painted an interior home for me, and I could not be more pleased. They did a beautiful, thorough, and professional job, and were able to offer advice and guidance in an area where I have little experience. RandD was professional from beginning to end in everything from the estimate provided to general communication to follow up and walkthrough. Not only was the price fair, but I also felt I could depend on RandD, a well managed business who provided a job well done. Yes, I would definitely recommend RandD for your painting needs. Thank you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us.
We were doing our entire house - roughly- 1800 square feet. The crew of four experienced painters were friendly and obviously had worked together for years and genuinely liked each other. The job foreman, Hugo, made sure everything was done exactly the way we wanted. They did the whole job in two and a half days and moved what had to be moved - no matter how heavy or awkward the piece - and made sure it all went back where it belonged. If there were some little extra jobs we asked them to do, they were happy to comply. The owner of R&D came by every day to make sure everything was progressing properly. All in all it was a terrific experience and we would recommend R&D wholeheartedly.
Thanks for leaving a review, and mentioning our team members! You’re right, they always go above and beyond. We’ll be sure to share your praises with them!
